Harrison Hollow Purchased!Congratulations to the community of Boise and beyond for successfully raising the money necessary to purchase the 58 acres known as Harrison Hollow. The Land Trust bought the parcel on December 15, 2011. Harrison Hollow is now permanently protected from development forever. The property is the cornerstone and gateway to 400 acres of privately owned natural open space between Hillside Junior High on N. 36th Street and Harrison Hollow adjacent to Bogus Basin Road.
While the fund-raising goal of $580,000 has been met, the Land Trust is still accepting tax deductible donations for the campaign that will be put toward the endowment fund. Donations may also be made directly to the Land Trust for future projects to protect open space in the Foothills and along the Boise River.
Congratulations also to the North End Neighborhood Association for contributing $10,000 matching funds raised by our commited and generous neighbors!
