Be Heard at the Statehouse
As you are probably already aware, budget cuts are leading Idaho's administration to consider cuts to parks, services, facilities and education. The Governor's 2010 State of the State address outlined many challenges but possibly lacked clarity on issues like education and public transportation, plus a politically motivated reluctance to tackle healthcare pragmatically.

Idaho Parks
Among the items for cuts being includes closing some of Idaho's State Parks. What worries us is that if we don't show our support for the Parks, we'll lose them to private interests. If you agree that you want the Parks kept open act today. If you want to help or have questions you can contact:

Education and Universities
Boise State University President Bob Kustra and University of Idaho President Duane Nellis said further cuts could threaten programs and put college out of reach for some students because of tuition and fee increases. Elementary and High School programs are also on the block.
Social Services
“Idaho’s Medicaid program could see a shortfall so extreme it’d have to eliminate 23 percent of the health benefits it provides to the state’s poor and disabled,” says Betsy Russell in the Spokesman-Review. This is among other cuts that will effect those most in need.
