The Recycled "Recycle" Project

Once in a while you bite something off and to be honest - it just goes crazy - here is such a story.

Mike Gudgus of WorldAglow (the most famous El Wire people we know) decided to start a recycling project that included simply building the word R E C Y C L E out of aluminum cans and other recycled materials. The project took on a life of it's own and is now a long-term project that benefits the St. Lukes Cancer Foundation!

Specifications for the Letters

Height: 6 feet
Width: 4 feet
Depth: 1 foot
Frame: 100% scrap metal

MIke has added Solar Christmas lights to the edge so it looks pretty cool at night. The letters have been filled by lots of friends, some of whom normally do NOT recycle, Mike says, "I liked that I got them in the groove. Better in letters than the landfill."

If you know of anyone or any businesses that might want to save their cans for me let me know. I'll take crushed, not crushed, beer, soda, whatever. They can e-mail Mike.
