History
 Nestled at the top of Harrison Boulevard and the bottom of the Highlands is another unique area in the Northend. It is distinguished by the crumbling sand cliffs on Lancaster Terrace to the west and Crane Creek which runs underground behind Greenwood's from the Highlands above. The earliest development in the area was Highland Stables which is now part of the Simplot estate. Bob Greenwood opened Bob's Ski Haus with the opening of Bogus Basin in the 1950's and the old Boise High School stomping ground, the Pack Out drive-in opened shortly afterward.
Harrison Hollow is now the home to shopping, dining, and high-scale development like the Healthwise headquarters and Hummel Architects new offices. Richard B. Smith (now Windermere) Realty started the Highlands development in the 60's.
New Developments
 A new development is shaping up through Western Realty Advisors. WRA President Bill Hodges is a longtime Northend investor with properties in Hyde Park like the Hodges Building where The Bungalow Restaurant is located and the building next door where Parilla cooks up those fancy wraps.
The new development is called Highlands Village and will span up to three parcels of land on both sides of Crane Creek. The most visible area of development is the mixed residential development between Greenwood's and Ridleys which was also renovated and includes Lulu's and Moxie Java.

Community events
Harrison Hollow is not only the gateway to the Highlands, foothill development and all the issues that are associated with growth. It is also the center for skiing and other outdoor activities that go on up the mountain and in town including the finish line for the YMCA's annual Harrison Classic kid's race.
